Pending, Past and All bookings

Pending is a request nobody has dealt with, and it should usually be empty. Past is everything whose date has gone by, kept because it is your record of the work. All is both plus anything in between. A booking moves out of Pending when its status changes, not when its date passes, so a stale request stays in Pending indefinitely and that is deliberate.
