The Balance column

What this client owes you, or what they have in credit. It moves when you record a payment, when a package is bought, and when somebody is marked present at a class that costs money. A balance of zero means settled, not inactive. If a figure surprises you, Payments has the line-by-line history that produced it, which is the page to check rather than adjusting the balance directly.
